Cheryl Major's 1985 Maxim X

It was originally purchased new
by a husband/wife team who bought matching bikes. A couple of years later, they
sold it to my best friend who kept it for a year. I bought it from her back in
1992. This past summer, I sold it to a relative of my best friend. He had it
through the summer and decided to sell it or trade it in for a bigger bike. I
bought it back from him.
Needless to say, I'm not giving up this bike again. I missed it when it was gone
and kicked myself daily for letting it go. Each time I went to bike shops,
nothing...and I mean NOTHING moved me like my Maxim!!
It's finally home for good. :-)
1985 Yamaha Maxim 700XJ
I bought mine about 11 years ago from my best friend, Vicky. Since then, she
hasn't found a bike that she has really loved...until now. This past summer, I
saw a bike for sale on the side of the road. It was a spitting image of mine, so
I called Vicky up and told her she HAD to see this bike. Of course, she couldn't
resist, and she bought the bike. I'm currently storing her bike in my garage,
but I had to get some pictures of them side-by-side. Note the license plates.
