My Little Buddy

My little buddy, how I miss you already!! What a wonderful companion you were! Truly worthy of Man's Best Friend and even more worthy of my best friend!! I'll never forget you baby, you were one of a kind and you did so much for me. When I went to pick you up from the horse farm in Ohio with Uncle Jeff you were the last one left and I am so thankful for that! Such strong-willed and you stood your ground when you needed to. ( I have scars to prove that, my boy!) You went to bed and slept either next to me on Mama's pillow or snuggled between my legs near the bottom every night. You would hit the spring on the door to tell us when you wanted to go out. I remember you disliking the cold snow when I walked you in the winter and how you hated ice on the driveway. Your bark always alerted me to visitors and your ears stood guard throughout the night and you knew how to search the property when I yelled "sic em!" late at night when you barked at a strange noise.  You were extremely picky who you allowed on the property and would growl or bite those you didn't approve of no matter what I thought. I will really miss playing with you, wrestling and chasing you all over the house. Even at 9 years of age you still played like a puppy and even came after me on your own. I will miss how you used to beg for food and how you would gobble your own food down. I will miss the bright smile you always had for me and that devilish look when you wanted to play.  I will miss the incredible speed you had on the playground and in the kitchen when someone dropped food on the floor. I remember the many times you managed to steal food from the counter, from Uncle Jeff's hamburger, Mama's bagels, turkey at Grandma's house to you licking the butter tray at Thanksgiving! I remember how you loved going for walks and car rides and how you sat in the front seat and stuck your head out the window. I remember how you loved having your own pair of nunchakus that matched your spots and how you ran proudly ran around the backyard with them in your mouth. I remember how you loved to curl up on the sofa and watch tv and nap with Mama and myself. No matter where we were in the house or what we were doing, you were there, watching over us and now you have become one of my guardian angels watching over me. You are my buddy, my best friend, my protector and my boy. I will never forget you Sparky! Rest in Peace!!

I may not be able to hold you like this again but you will always be in my heart!

My baby, always playful!!!
